John joined the Panorama Wealth Management team in the fall of 2025. He benefits from a diverse work history and brings a passion for helping others that lends itself well to the customer-service driven nature of the Financial Services industry.
As the Office Manager/Receptionist, John performs many tasks that facilitate the day-to-day operation of the office. He serves as the initial point of contact for anyone who calls or visits the office, assists in coordinating various functions, and communicates with vendors and suppliers.
John graduated from Trent University in the early 2000’s with a joint-major in Philosophy and Cultural Studies. Afterward he travelled to South Korea with his future wife-to-be and spent a year teaching English. Upon their return they both attended Brock University where John worked as a T.A. and completed a master’s degree in Contemporary Continental Philosophy. Subsequent years were spent in the Travel Industry, the Automotive Industry, and finally in Accounting/Office Administration before joining the team at Panorama.
A father of two loveable children and one dog, John’s time outside of work is family focused. Together they enjoy walking and playing with the dog, hiking, cycling, swimming, puzzles and board/video games. John loves to travel, and his own favourite pastimes include reading, playing guitar, watching movies, and sitting by a lake or fire.
“I strongly believe in positivity, authenticity, and integrity. I strive to treat others the way I like to be treated and to apply this maxim to my endeavours. Once I read that people remember negative experiences more strongly than positive ones, and that has always stuck with me. It means that we must work that much harder to overcome apprehension, and to build and maintain relationships.”
